GET READY : PHILAVIRTU 2020  IS KNOCKING

PHILAVIRTU 2020, World’s largest and First Indian National Level Virtual Philatelic Exhibition with International participation is knocking strongly now. By now most of the selected exhibits might have been uploaded on the exhibition site as uploading started from Ist October. As many as over 1000  exhibit frames are likely to be loaded with around 225 exhibits in the competitive section. The list of exhibits had been uploaded by the organizers which speaks about display of very  good exhibits. A few exhibits are from  countries other than India. All in all, I believe the show is going to be a wonderful one. While I wish a great success of the show, my wishes are also for all the participants for a very good luck  and  for the most appropriate award they deserve.

As I have already said in my previous articles that the future of philately is digital as this is quite cheaper, more convenient and easily accessible way of exhibiting and also its reach is vast and easy not only to the philatelic fraternity but to the non-philatelic public also. This is the easiest way to reach each and every exhibit, to study it, to discuss and  even download (if permitted), if required. Certainly it has a good number of advantages over physical exhibiting looking in to present scenario.

I hope various highly acclaimed exhibits in all the classes shall be on display both in invitee or non competitive and in competitive section. I personally want to study the exhibits of my taste and as time will be enough with me, I would like to  enjoy the displays to my maximum. I hope the organizers would make available the contact numbers of the exhibitors so that one could contact  the exhibitor to resolve his  or her query, if any. Even there should be a comment section for the visitors to write their views . There should also be a  query section where technical points of exhibiting could be  discussed both with the jury or the exhibitor. This will  certainly call for good interaction and add to the joy of watching exhibits. The exhibitor too will have better feedback.  I understand the exchange of such contact details will help promotion of philately  and will help strengthening the bond of friendship amongst the  exhibitors and visitors.

I re-iterate that such  QUERY  SECTION or COMMENT SECTION are genuinely very helpful. All concerned such as organizers, jury and exhibitor will get feedback which is very essential requirement for satisfaction of all concerned and also for further overall improvement. I understand there will be enough time between publishing of this issue of Rainbow and the  opening of the exhibition. Organizers can think upon these sections and install these for the viewers and visitors. They can expect some absurd and undesired comments and queries also but it does not matter. Even unpleasant comments are very helpful for betterment. Believe me, these comment  and query sections will certainly prove to be the best outcome of this digital exhibition and  will help bettering the  future exhibitions in terms of quality of exhibits and standard of the show.

Well, while concluding my short write up, I again wish PHILAVIRTU 2020 a great success and hope the visitors and viewers will have delicious stuffs served to them through exhibits and the participants a good luck.

Thematic Watch

Observations / Experiences / Facts

- Jeevan Jyoti

Thematic Philately has changed with the time and today’s trend includes various types of philatelic items as part of   thematic exhibit which is somewhat the  blend of traditional and thematic philately. As we go to  the higher level in Thematic Philately we find the dominance of  the use of high level items of the Traditional and Postal History in a Thematic Exhibit. These items are used so meticulously connecting with the storyline. The Thematic Philately class has become  very technical at the competition level . Experts have different opinions on display of the exhibit. They have their own way of explanation and logics regarding text, write up, display etc. Here I share first part of the very good article ‘An Introduction to Thematic Exhibiting’ by Tom Fortunato. In this article ‘Stamps on Cover’ is explained very well. In fact the selection of stamps on  a used cover is sometimes very difficult for a thematic philatelist.

An Introduction to Thematic Exhibiting

By Tom Fortunato

Once upon a time…

To the uninitiated, that might seem a curious way to start a chapter about one of the most interesting and fun areas of philately—thematic collecting and exhibiting. You’ll understand what I mean by the time you finish this article.

What is Thematic Exhibiting?

Simply put, a thematic exhibit is a story told through a display of philatelic items known as “elements.” It incorporates aspects of other exhibiting disciplines found in this book, such as traditional and postal history, and uses a variety of elements regardless of their age or country of origin that relate to the story line.

It’s that story part that differentiates a topical from a thematic collector. Let’s use birds as an example. A topical collector would save only philatelic items depicting birds. A thematic collector expands that approach by telling a story about birds: their origins, physical differences, habitat, migratory routes, breeding, etc.

Stamp-Related Elements

A stamp only becomes a stamp after a rigorous process. Artists first create drawings and sketches of proposed designs. From those submissions, one is chosen and miniaturized through an engraving or a photographic process. Trial prints are made, sometimes in different colors, to optimize the appearance of the design, before the final approval is given to print the stamps. These items are classified as pre-production elements. They can be elusive, if available at all,and are highly sought by advanced thematic exhibitors.

The stamps are then printed, sometimes in a number of formats—sheets, sheetlets, coils, booklets, etc.. These, too, are different elements, as are plate and position blocks bearing unique salvage inscriptions or production information, and the booklet covers themselves. Paper, gum, and watermark variations may be due to stock or production differences. All reoccurring and/or intentional varieties are in this category of elements.

By the way, it’s possible to interchange the word “stamp” with other philatelic items that follow the same creation and printing process, including souvenir sheets, postal stationery (postal cards, envelopes, aerogrammes, etc.), meters, Frama labels, and in some countries, telegrams if they were issued by the post office.

More esoteric items are also possible. Samples, usually overprinted “specimen” or defaced in some way, are occasionally sent to catalogers and the press to promote the issue, later becoming available in the marketplace. Watermarks are found with many different images on them. A few that come to mind are animals (turtles, lions, and elephants), fruit (pineapples), crowns, stars, and much, much more.

Errors, freaks and oddities (EFOs) add interest, like paper folds, misperfs, miscuts, missing colors, double prints, ink streaks, inverts, non-intentional imperforates and alike. These are non-reoccurring variety elements.

Stamps issued for various services are considered different elements, including semi-postals (stamps surcharged for a charitable purpose), airmails, officials, postage dues, registration stamps, revenues, etc.

 Usages

A thematic exhibit also displays items used as they were intended. Stamps and souvenir sheets are found on “cover”—the technical term for an envelope or piece of postal stationery sent through the mails. Revenue/tax stamps are used on various documents. There is a wealth of possibilities when it comes to usages !

 Stamps on Cover

It’s oftentimes harder to find a desired stamp on a cover than in mint condition. Add to that you’re probably more apt to find the stamp on a first day cover rather than a commercial cover—one sent through the mail by a non-collector at the correct postage rate in the manner it was meant to be used. Even harder is finding a commercial cover sent anywhere overseas, or better still, to a small, exotic country. Seasoned exhibitors (and judges) realize the challenge and difficulty factor in finding these.

When selecting covers, you’ll sometimes find what are called “mixed-frankings.” This is when more than one face-different stamp is used on a cover. An example is a cover with two stamps on it, one depicting a president and the other a butterfly, with the story subject being presidents. While not the best of possible situations, this cover would still be acceptable if the majority of the postage was paid by the denomination depicting the subject. A better cover would be one showing a single use of the president’s stamp, or multiples of that one stamp.

Postal stationery is prized in used compared to mint condition just as much as stamps used on cover are. These, too, are considered “covers.’Some covers don’t have stamps on them at all. They include folded and stampless covers, free franks bearing signatures of postmasters or others receiving preferential treatment in postal matters, and some government and military mail, often sent free of charge. For these, you’ll want to relate the town of origin, the postmark or other markings on the cover to your story line.

Fiscal or tax stamps represent payment towards a service or purchase of some kind. Finding them intact on a document is often a challenge and can also be shown in an exhibit.

A cover’s mode of transport is sometimes seen through docketing by private individuals or the post office, either through a manuscript marking, label, or rubber stamp (airmail, boat mail (paquetbot), balloon post, first flights, etc.) “Crash cover” is the general term for philatelic item that has been through a traumatic experience, like a train or plane crash, boat sinking, fire, water damage, etc. and marked indicating this (see Auxiliary Markings below). These, too, are elements.

To be contd….

How to improve a Thematic Exhibit…..

Philately Promoter of the Month

This column is dedicated to great philatelists who are promoting selflessly the hobby of stamp collecting in their own way and making a bridge between philately and our daily life.

Rahul Ganguli is an enthusiast philatelist from Allahabad. He is an active member of Prayag Philatelic Society and has been instrumental in organizing stamp exhibitions and philatelic workshops at Allahabad. He has been regularly creating commemorative covers on different occasions and has made great efforts for the issuance of special covers by the Deptt. of Posts.  He has participated at different philatelic exhibitions and have won awards. His Prayag Philatelic Society ‘WhatsApp group is very popular among philatelists. Mr Ganguli helps philatelists to provide special covers and other philatelic items issued in different parts. Members exchange philatelic items and share recent philatelic activities in their area on this whatsapp group. I am pleased to Share here a part of his article on Kumbh Mela earlier published in April 2019 issue of Rainbow Stamp News.

In Prayagraj, as the word Kumbh enters ones ears the picturesque vision of Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, the Yamuna and the mystical Saraswati flashes in the minds of people. At the sacred confluence huge multitudes move like waves in the ocean filled with sense of devotion. 'Shahi Snaan' of Akharas, chanting of vedic mantras and elucidations of religious hymns in the Saint pandals, proclamations of knowledge, tatvamimansa and truth by rishis, charming music, mesmerizing sound of multitudes of instruments, holy dip in sangam with utmost devotion fills the heart of devotees with immense joy and offering prayers at many divine temples exhibits the greatness of Prayagraj Kumbh. The Kumbh Mela at Prayag takes place for approximately 55 days, spread over thousands of hectares around the sangam area, and becomes the greatest of ephemeral city in the world. Regularity of this celebration continuing since ancient times is unique in itself. Ever increasing pressure of populace and expanding cities tend to engulf the rivers and events like Kumbh, graces the rivers with the profound status of creators of the world. There is a deeply enrooted feeling of devotion and faith flowing in the veins of every Indian since eternity

The formation of Prayagraj Mela Authority 2018 is an important stepping-stone towards organising the event of the scale of Kumbh. Its primary responsibility is to ensure that the basic amenities are provided in Kumbh 2019 to the devotees visiting the Mela. For the Kumbh 2019, modern technologies were being deployed to enhance the ‘Divyata’ and ‘Bhavyata’ of the Kumbh. Gates based on various themes were set up to welcome pilgrims and information boards to guide them to their destination. Huge pandals and tents to facilitate the stay of pilgrims and visitors.

 India’s First Online Postcard Exhibition

DEBUTPEX-2020 is the India’s first virtual exhibition on postcards, organized by the Postcrossing Society of India, in association with PostcardVille. The idea behind this initiative is to celebrate postcards and to commemorate the 151stbirthday of the postcard, falling on 1stOct 2020, in a safe and sustainable manner with worldwide participation.

In today’s world of emails, texts, and WhatsApp, writing on postcards is a thing of past. This is a change and will teach the younger generation to take an interest in writing postcards. Some people would not know that writing a postcard cost only 25p (Meghdoot) or 50p (Ordinary) or Rs.6, if you want to send someone with a picture. Even international address picture postcards are tariffed as low as Rs.12/Rs.15. No doubt, postcard is literally the cheapest way of written communication.

Inspired by our Hon'ble Prime Minister's 'Maan Ki Baat' on traditional toys of India, and making India the hub of Toy Industry, a set of 12 postcards on Traditional Toys of India will be released by India Post, through the CMPG / PMGs of Postal Circles from Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh & Tamil Nadu, simultaneously to celebrate the mega event. The series of events, as a part of World Postcard Day Celebrations will also have special covers release with a special cancellation from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and other states.

Various online events and webinars including topics like Postcard writing, Art of Giving and collection of Antique / Heritage postcard are planned by Postcrossing Society of India. Details on these events can be found on the website at www.debutpex.com

DebutPex 2020 has seen participation of more than 150 postcard enthusiasts from 15 countries, hailing from all walks of life, across four categories –

1) Narrate a Thematic Story

2) Write a Photo Essay

3) Present Research and story of any topic/theme / object.

4) Present a travelogue

Our generous thanks to India Post  for providing their invaluable support. We also give a big shout-out to our partners, the Philatelic Society of Rajasthan, Gandhi Research Foundation, Prayag Philatelic Society, the Hyderabad Philatelic & Society Hobbies Society, Collector Bazar, V. B. Anand Postcards and Postcards Market.

Exhibition goes live on 3rd Oct 2020, and a winner from each category will be awarded. All the participants will get a Certificate of Participation for their exhibits. We are happy to invite you to be a part of this novel initiative. Please visit www.debutpex.com for more information and details.

DISINFECTION OF MAIL

-Naresh Agrawal

 Contd from the last…..

THE  MAJOR  EPIDEMICS  AND  MAIL  DISINFECTION

PLAGUE   :

The Black Plague, was one of the deadliest pandemics in human history, widely thought to have been caused by a bacterium named Yersinia pestis (Bubonic Plague), but recently sometimes attributed to other diseases. It most likely began in Central Asia and spread to Europe during the 1340s and showed devastating effects reducing the world’s population from an estimated 450 million to between 350 and 375 million in 1400.

09.01.1730 Lipsia(Leipzig) to Firenze(Florence).’C.Aviso’,(with advice of payment). Scorching and the craynned ’S’ (for Sanita’) indicate Venetian precautions against plague.

Prior to 1730, the Venetians opened suspect letters and “Perfumed” them, without applying heat. From 1735,new regulations required heat treatment; and if opened, to be certified by an endorsement, hand struck marks being used from the 1760’s.The crayon ’S’ was provisional.(the slits were made for a ribbon and seal to close the letter, and not for fumigation.)

Epidemics affected mail at Honolulu ten times between 1853 and 1900 and six of those occasions came in the UPU Period. Not all of these episodes involved disease in Hawaii. Some were epidemics at places such as San Francisco or in Asia and steps were taken in Hawaii to disinfect mail from those placed before delivering it. Covers from at least two periods when Honolulu was gripped with cholera or plague show evidence of disinfecting.

By the early 20th century, plague, typhus, and yellow fever were known to be transmitted by arthropod vectors

Disinfected Cover dated Oct.26,1912 from St. Petersburg to Rakhinka, Astrakhan (addressed to "Dr. Dmitri Yakovlevitch, who was fighting the Plague") and struck with fine straight line "Obessarashenko" disinfection marking in blue-black. Cover was received in Astrakhan (8/11) and the disinfection cachet was probably applied there on arrival.

Disinfected cover adted Nov. 27,1911 franked from Novaya Kazanka (Astrakhan)) to St. Petersburg during epidemic of Plague in Astrakhan and struck (probably on despatch as there are traces of staining to the envelope) with fine Cyrillic "Dezinfitsirovano" straight line disinfection cachet in violet.

Later scientific knowledge attributed the spread of  the Plague and Cholera respectively to rat fleas and polluted drinking water. The measures taken to disinfect  mail are now seen not merely as inadequate but unnecessary .

ANTHRAX  :

Anthrax is an acute disease in humans and animals caused by the bacterium Bacillus anthracis which is highly lethal in some forms caused by inhalation, gastrointestinal absorption, skin exposure. This is usually fatal, and symptoms usually begin days after exposure. There are effective vaccines against anthrax. Some forms of the disease respond well to antibiotic treatment.

Mail in the collection of  author treated for anthrax packed in polythene/plastic cover with mail disinfection related information.

The 2001 anthrax attacks in the United States, also known as Amerithrax from its FBI case name, occurred over the course of several weeks beginning on September 18, 2001. More than 5000 letters containing anthrax spores were mailed through USPS to several news media offices killing five people and infecting severely 18 others.

Until the 20th century, anthrax infections killed lacs  of animals and people each year in Asia Australia, Africa, North America, and Europe. French scientist Louis Pasteur developed the first effective vaccine for anthrax in 1881. Thanks to over a century of animal vaccination programs, sterilization of raw animal waste materials and anthrax eradication programs in different parts of the world which has checked the spread of Anthrax  in big way.

Letters dated 18.09,2001 postmarked Trenton, N.J. Outside, they were addressed to NBC anchor Tom Brokaw and to the Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle  containing anthrax spores /powder killed 5 people and infected 18 others throughout the US. including  2 postal workers.

SARS  :  (SEVERE ACUTE RESPIRATORY SYNDROME )

It is a respiratory disease in humans which is caused by SARS corona virus .There has been one near pandemic to date in the years 2002 and 2003 with more than 10.000 known infected cases and about 1000 confirmed human deaths.  Within a matter of weeks in early 2003, SARS spread from the Guangdong province of China to rapidly infect individuals in some 37 countries around the world.

Disinfected Postcard dated 13.09.2003 suspected infected by SARS

Looking in to the severity of the epidemic, in 2003 the proposal of the constitution of a new European monitoring, regulatory and research institution had been made, since the already available system of surveillance had found an enormous challenge in the global emergency of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). In the absence of a targeted vaccine, general preventive interventions have to be relied upon, including high healthcare surveillance and public information. Quarantine has, then again adhered to as the same had strongly suggested its validity.

YELLOW FEVER   :   In 1793, yellow fever swept through Philadelphia, then our federal capital. Alexander Hamilton left town, and President George Washington remained at Mount Vernon until the fall frost had been reported up North.

Mail from the tropics, particularly Hawaii, was treated against yellow fever.  In the United States in 1712, when yellow fever threatened Boston, mail from docking ships was first exposed to burning sulfur.

Disinfection and Fumigation after the Death of a Perso with Yellow Fever, October 17, 1888

Ordinance Pertaining to the Destruction, Disinfection, and Sanitation of "Infected Property"

This is an ordinance, passed by the city council of MacClenny, Florida, December 18, 1888, emphasizing replacement of  items destroyed in the course of disinfection, while putting in place the possibility of imprisonment or a $100 fine for failure of property owners to comply. The ordinance illustrates the necessity of a direct relationship between local authorities and the national Marine Hospital Service prior to the establishment of the State Board of Health. It also shows how rigid and stringent the disinfection and inspection measures sometimes were.

 TYPHUS  :

Typhoid fever is an illness caused by the bacterium Salmonella Enterica Serovar Typhi. It is transmitted by the ingestion of food or water contaminated with farces from an infected person. The bacteria then multiply in the blood stream of the infected person and are absorbed into the digestive tract and eliminated with the waste. This bacteria grows best at 37°C . In the history Typhoid has also spread like an epidemic at different places from time to time.

In 1813, typhus decimated the French army in Moscow, forcing Napoleon to retreat to Paris.

                                 Army Surgeon-General on Typhoid Fever

The cover has been designed and manufactured  by Brigadier-General George M. Sternberg, a leading bacteriologist and Surgeon-General of the United States Army, during his sanitary recommendations in 1898 emphasized the danger of polluted water and advocated usage of boiled or purified water  and proper disposal of waste to check the spread of Typhoid Fever. The cover’s actual user, however, enclosed a letter detailing the stateside ravages of typhoid fever.

Unusual Talking Phonograph and CD Rom Stamps

-Cdr G.Sriramaao,I.N(retd)

The postal stamps are normally issued on paper. However during the last 50 years or so many countries including India have issued unusual stamps  with different materials such as Gold quoted, Silver, Crystals, Pearls, Wood, Cloth, Silk, Chocolate, Rose, Sandalwood and Coffee smelling, Embroidery, three dimensional etc.

The small Buddhist Kingdom of Bhutan has issued some interesting Phonograph and Cd- Rom stamps in 1972 and 2008. The Phonograph stamps are of the value

a) 10 Chetrum Yellow text on red 69 mm record, containing Bhutan History

b) 25 Chetrum gold on green 69 mm record, containing National anthem

c) 1.25 ngultrum silver on blue 69mm record, containing Bhutan History in English

d) 3 Ngultrum Silver on Purple 100 mm record, Airmail stamp, containing Bhutan History in Bhutanese and folk song

e) 7 Ngultrum Silver on black 69 mm record, containing Folk song

f) 8 Ngultrum red on white 69 mm record, containing folk song

g) 9 Ngultrum black on yellow 100 mm airmail stamp, containing Bhutanese history in English, and 2 folk songs

These Bhutanese talking stamps are in a set of seven, are the first in the world talking stamps, the stamps are miniature, one sided 31 1/3 rpm made of plastic embossed with a melody   playable on a standard turntable, are among the strangest, most enchanting bits of Vinyl.

These Vinyl records are quite possibly the smallest that can still be played with a stylus. These were invented by the American adventurer Burt Todd. In 1960, a Royal warrant was issued to set up Bhutan’s stamp issuing program. Todd founded the Bhutanese stamps agency. He designed many stamps for the Royal Kingdom. He designed Bhutanese royal crest, a yak, a maharaja, a Himalayan fortress, a soldier from the royal bodyguard and a Buddhist monastery.

69 MM STAMPS

In 1966 he invented a circular stamp marking the 40th anniversary of Dorji-Wangchuk’s coronation, using a heraldic design embossed in Gold or rainbow-coloured paper. After this a series of triangular stamps featuring yeti, the Himalayas’ fabled abdominal snowman were issued.

This was followed by a set of 3 D stamps on the theme of space exploration, followed by other successful issues of banners printed on silk, a set of traditional sculptures die stamped in plastic, perfumed stamps made out of steel foil.

100 MM STAMPS

The talking stamps were the crowning glory of Todd’s programme, which consisted of the above seven phonograph stamps. Bhutan stamps for years created an important source of revenue for the country, which aided in the development of Bhutan’s first electric power, hospitals and rod systems. Even today Bhutan stamps continue to feature the country’s rich traditions and culture.

CD STAMPS

The legacy of Bhutan’s unmatched innovation in stamps was renewed by his daughter after hisdeath. Frances Todd Stewart invented her father’s last idea to create a world’s first CD-ROM postage stamp. The stamps are actually mini-CD Roms. When affixed to a large envelope, the CD stamp can be used as postage. The stamps have been developed by Creative Products International of Pittsburgh, USA, by its Chairman Frances Todd Stewart.

These were issued

a)    On the 100th Anniversary of the Monarchy

b)     The Coronation of the 5th King

c)    Bhutan’s Emerging Democracy and Signing of the New Constitution

d)    Bhutan’s recognition as an environmental leader

These were four stamps. The stamps and the first-day covers are as follows:

In Chinese culture, the ox symbolizes hard work, determination and honesty, among other values. Artist Martin Mörck has integrated a few Chinese elements in his design of the miniature sheet. Mirrors of our attitudes towards the environment

Modern consumer society has yet to establish a fully sustainable relationship with the natural and cultural environments. This time, however, we are not talking about major polluters and factors that destroy the environment, but about various everyday "minor" actions that frequently grow to enormous dimensions and demonstrate how civilised – or uncivilised – we really are.

The efforts of chewing gum manufacturers – or their gum-chewing customers – are proudly displayed on pavements and in other public spaces. It is interesting to note how it is often the pavements in front of schools that are most likely to be adorned with discarded gum.

The façades of numerous residential and other buildings, walls, bridges and underpasses have become a constant target of vandals armed with spray cans. This is something different from graffiti as a genre of contemporary artistic creativity in the urban environment, or the expression of views on current events and society as a form of non-verbal communication.

Despite numerous warnings, cigarette butts are still being thrown from car windows. Even more serious are the many cases of fly-tipping and illegal waste dumps, frequently in the most unspoilt corners of the natural environment.

Strolling through our country's woods and clearings, along the banks of rivers or the shores of lakes, we are frequently surprised and astonished at how people have managed to transport all manner of household objects to these virgin environments. Clean-up campaigns are organised every year. In other words, once a year we clean up everything we have dragged into the countryside or hidden corners of the urban environment over the past year.

Last but not least, is the question of food waste, an issue to which we have been devoting increasing attention in Slovenia in recent years. Given the title of the stamp series and the message contained in the old Slovene proverb, we must therefore ask ourselves which we have a greater abundance of: donkeys or donkey hair? The answer is short and clear: both !

25 September 2020 : Int. Year of Plant Health

The year of 2020 is the International Year of Plant Health

The United Nations has declared 2020 the International Year of Plant Health.

Healthy plants are an essential condition for life, for the functioning of ecosystems and for the provision of sufficient quantities of safe food. Plants produce up to 80% of the food we eat and 98% of the oxygen we breathe.

Plant diseases and pests multiply and spread to new areas as a result of climate change, altered ecosystems and shrinking biodiversity, and as a consequence of the unsustainable growth of international commerce and mass travel, which has tripled in the last decade. These factors destroy agricultural land and forest, reduce the availability of food and consequently increase food prices, causing hunger and reducing the level of economic development of some countries.

Protecting plants against plant diseases and pests is more effective than taking steps to eradicate them after the fact, since the latter requires far more effort, time and money. It is therefore best to avoid buying plants online and bringing them home from foreign trips, since they may conceal plant diseases and pests. If you notice major signs of disease or quarantine pests in plants at home, you should notify the competent authorities.

Don't forget: "Let's protect plants, our source of life."
